Virtual Hymn Opportunity

This is what you have been waiting for...Let's Sing Together! Everyone is invited to participate in our first virtual hymn, "The Church's One Foundation" hymn #654,  in celebration of Reformation! This is open to ALL people, near and far, singers and non singers, and though we are apart we will sing together through the magic of technology! This is our first attempt into virtual music making together. Let's work together to help each other as this can be a scary and challenging process. We are here to help you!

Everything you need to participate including detailed directions on "How to Record" can be found here. All submissions are due October 12.

You will need a smartphone with a built-in camera and a computer or tablet with connected earphones. If you want to participate and need assistance please contact Terry Thompson at

Read the directions below or see the more detailed directions and practice singing the hymn with this click track recording before you actually record.

Basic Recording Instructions

Set up your phone and computer/tablet to record audio. This will work best if you can stabilize your phone two feet away on a tripod or set it up safely on a table near you. You'll need to be able to hear the Master Track in your earphones while recording yourself singing. Do NOT have the master track playing on external speakers, but only on your earphones.

Upload your audio recording and a picture of you in red here. Your photo can be a family photo, a photo of yourself holding up signs that say "Hi Church" or any positive message, or it can include pets and fun backgrounds. Only submit your best photo and audio recording. Even people who don't want to sing can send in a photo of themselves and participate.

Watch the Reformation Service on October 25 to see and hear your church family sing together!
