Robert Sacks

Robert Sacks

Robert Sacks is delighted to serve the music ministry at Our Saviour's as organist and pianist. He enjoys collaborating with fellow musicians and looks forward to working with Our Saviour's various vocal and instrumental ensembles as well as individual singers and instrumentalists in the church community.

His previous work as a church musician includes serving as collaborative keyboardist at Bethany Lutheran Church in Naperville and, most recently, as organist at First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Hinsdale. He has also served as a substitute organist for several churches in the Chicago area.

An experienced soloist, accompanist, piano instructor, and chamber musician, Robert counts among his other passions his work as a Democratic Party Precinct Committeeperson, advocating for the disability community (he has two adult sons on the autism spectrum), organic gardening, and cooking homemade pizzas in his outdoor pizza oven.

Robert holds degrees in piano performance from the Peabody Conservatory and Syracuse University. He previously served as assistant music director and piano coordinator for the OPUS Chamber Music Camp, and he operates a private piano studio in Naperville. Robert and his wife, violinist Vivienne Venderley, perform together as the Spectrum Duo and also as the Spectrum Trio with the addition of cellist (and New York Times bestselling author) Edward Moore.
