Forgive our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Restore in us the joy of your salvation, and sustain in us a willing spirit to reflect your love every day. Amen

Day 1 - March 2 (Ash Wednesday)

Scripture Reading: Psalm 51

Prayer: See Week 1 Prayer above

Live it out: How can the next 40 days of Lent offer you an opportunity to turn toward God, Forgive like God, Bless like God, and offer that same love to others? Is there a specific person in your life you’d like to connect with during this season? Or, is there a practice that you could begin to help you start fresh each day?

Day 2 - March 3

Scripture Reading: 1 John 1: 8-9

Prayer: See Week 1 Prayer above

Live it out: Can you remember a time when you were offered forgiveness? Have you ever offered forgiveness or grace out of a reflection of the forgiveness you’ve received?

Day 3 - March 4

Scripture Reading: Luke 15: 3-7

Prayer: See Week 1 Prayer above

Live it out: Why do you think it’s important to rejoice when the one lost sheep is found? What does this story tell us about God’s love?

Day 4 - March 5

Scripture Reading: Luke 23: 33-34

Prayer: See Week 1 Prayer above

Live it out:  What does forgiveness look like when we aren’t even aware of our wrongdoings? What would it look like to offer forgiveness to someone who isn’t aware of how they have wronged you?

Day 5 - March 6

Scripture Reading: 2 Peter 3:9

Prayer: See Week 1 Prayer above

Day 6 - March 7

Scripture Reading: Psalm 32 1-5

Prayer: See Week 1 Prayer above

Live it out: Have you ever cleared the air with someone after an argument or situation, and it ended up feeling like a breath of fresh air or like a gift was given? “Happy are those whose transgressions is forgiven, whose sin is covered.” is like being released from that which binds us. Lent can be a season to have that conversation with God….or with a friend, to acknowledge and confess, and be freed by our past. Today, could you offer this up to God?

They were surrounded by aggressive neighbors who opposed their efforts to rebuild the temple (Their Sacred space) and then Zechariah comes with this message “Return to me” say God, “So that I may return to you”. Can you remember a time when you’ve yearned to return back to the ways things were?
