- Women’s Ministry Book Discussion: Friday, November 13. This year we’re reading Take My Hand by Dolen Perkins-Valdez, a powerful novel inspired by the true stories of women whose lives were changed by coerced medical procedures in the 1970s. It’s a story about dignity, justice, and the lasting impact of decisions made without consent, making it an important and timely read for all of us.
