We’re thrilled to welcome Pastor Anna Roper to the Our Saviour’s pastoral staff in a one-year, part-time role. A graduate of Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, Anna brings more than a decade of ministry experience, including six years as Associate Pastor at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Elmhurst. Her ministry has included preaching and worship leadership, youth and confirmation ministry, pastoral care, community partnerships, and synod youth leadership. She is especially passionate about ensuring people feel remembered, cared for, and connected, particularly during times of transition or when life makes it harder to be present in the congregation's life.
At Our Saviour’s, Anna will preach and lead worship regularly while also overseeing care ministries, including pastoral visits, care team leadership, and wellness ministries. She is committed to building a culture of care where people can count on one another, and she would love to connect with those interested in visiting homebound members, bringing communion to a friend, or finding other ways to care for our community.
Anna and her husband, Jim, moved to Naperville last fall with their son, Luke, and welcomed their daughter, Lily, in March. Anna grew up outside Washington, DC, attended a Spanish immersion school, and studied music at Oberlin College. She has played violin since she was seven, speaks Spanish, and still hopes to find her way back to her violin when life with two little ones allows. We’re grateful that Anna has said “yes” to sharing her gifts with Our Saviour’s, and we look forward to getting to know her and her family!
