Kelly Gilligan

Kelly enjoys hanging out with family and friends, hosting cook outs, and watching sports (especially the Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers). Ventriloqism and riding a unicycle are Kelly's "hidden talents" that come in handy sometimes as a teacher.

Kelly is the Celebration Children's Center Preschool Director. She loves children, the Lord, and walking with young parents on their parenting journey so this job is truly the perfect fit for Kelly! The Celebration Children's Center Preschool is a 9-month program, teaching children to love God and each other, and paving the way for them to love learning and be successful in Kindergarten. The preschool has a staff of 27 teachers that work together to provide a well-rounded social, emotional, and educational experience for children ages 2-5 years old.

Kelly has an undergraduate degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Ball State University, and a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Illinois University. Kelly began her career as a Kindergarten teacher. After marrying Steve and moving frequently, she has held teaching licenses in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Ohio, and Washington.

Throughout her years of teaching, tutoring, organizing VBS, and leading the children's department at Bible Study Fellowship, Kelly found the perfect fit in 2011 when she was named Director of Celebration Children's Center. Kelly was honored in 2019 by being named the ELCA Early Childhood Director of the Year!
