OSLC Council Nominees: Kelly Hoke and Rachel Petty

  • Kelly Hoke and her husband, Rodger, have been members of Our Saviour’s for the past 20 years, and usually worship at Celebration Campus. Writes Kelly: "I am a second-grade teacher in Oswego, so most of the ways in which I am involved at church have to do with children! I teach Sunday School and have also volunteered in the nursery. For the past several years, I have helped at Vacation Bible School. Our son, Brayden, is involved in the Surge program, and our daughter, Anna, will begin Surge this fall. I am excited for the opportunity to support all of the wonderful things that are already happening at Our Saviour's and to help the church continue to improve."
  • Rachel Petty is the second-oldest daughter of OSLC members Pete and Sue Harvey and grew up participating in Sunday School, Confirmation, high school small groups and church choir at Our Saviour's. Writes Rachel: "It was through my time with the Eagle's Wings high school choir, in particular, that my passion for my faith and my church family grew exponentially. After living in Dallas for seven years, my husband and I moved back to Illinois in 2023. I now attend the 10 a.m. at Celebration and am part of the LIFT Bible study, Just Love and RIC in Action. I am excited about the opportunity to serve on council and caring for our church in a more official capacity. It is important to me that the radical love and belonging that I have experienced as a lifelong member of Our Saviour’s are accessible to all people who walk through our doors, no matter their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender expression."
