BABY CARE

Baby Care is a year-round mission of Our Saviour’s that serves underresourced families locally and globally. In September 2022, as part of "God's Work, Our Hands" Sunday, Our Saviour's assembled more than 1,000 care kits for distribution to families in need through Lutheran World Relief. Baby Care relies on the donation of baby blankets, like-new baby clothing items and monetary gifts. Interested in making a monetary donation to support the Baby Care Ministry? Click here.

Aug. 2023: Thank you to all who participated in and/or donated blankets and other materials for our August Sew-a-Thon! 34 quilts were completed at the event, and Jill Ryan donated 22 flannel blankets she had serged.

Looking ahead to Baby Care's annual care-kit assembly event Sept. 16-17, Baby Care has a great need for new or gently used hoodies/lightweight jackets up to size 2T - one jacket goes in each kit, and more than 300 hoodies/jackets still are needed. Have any at home to donate? Bring them in and drop them off any time in the Baby Care playpen in Fellowship Center!

Thank you for your support of Baby Care this spring! Baby Care's Mother's Day fundraiser brought in $2,280 for the mission, and the Sew-a-Thon saw 33 blankets made for infants in need in our area and beyond!

Locally, Baby Care partners with agencies such as Edward Hospital, District 203, Sharing Connections, and Second Chance Resale and Family Services Shelter to provide essentials for babies ages 0-2.
