Christy LaFave Grace

Christy LaFave Grace is thrilled to be serving Our Saviour's as communications manager. A longtime writing and editing professional with a degree in journalism from Indiana University, Christy spent most of her career in B2B publishing before joining the Our Saviour's staff in September 2022. She previously served as executive editor of Winsight Grocery Business in Chicago and spent five years as managing editor of Plant Services magazine in Schaumburg. During her time at Putman, she co-founded the Influential Women in Manufacturing recognition program and the Manufacturing Tomorrow's Workforce podcast.

Christy and her husband, Joe, moved to Naperville (where Christy grew up) from Wheaton in 2021 and are parents to "one at home and one in heaven." They are members of Edward Hospital's SHARE family for those who have experienced perinatal loss, and they honor their firstborn, Nathan, with the "A Day for Nate" event each August. Their hoot-and-a-half younger son, Colin, is a student at Elmwood.

Christy enjoys running (half-marathon is her favorite race distance) and can be found running past the Our Saviour's and/or Celebration campus most mornings and after Colin when he's not in school. She also enjoys volunteering at Feed My Starving Children and is a Sunday School teacher and VBS leader at Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton.
