Debbie montrose

Debbie loves spending time with family and friends, shopping, reading and writing, and the color purple! My journey to Our Saviour's staff has been one of the best times of my life. I'm truly blessed in working with the staff and am thankful for the friendships, and I can honestly say I enjoy my job.

Something you may not know about me is that my grandfather was the General Manager for The Chicago Cubs from 1956-1975. I was young, but remember sitting in the special booths at Wrigley Field, traveling to Arizona for spring training, and seeing my favorite Cubs players around the pool and hotel. My official baby picture was actually taken by the Cubs photographer. It was all a wonderful experience and one I will never forget. Needless to say, I'm a die-hard Cubs fan and am overjoyed that they won the World Series!

I'm a very creative, friendly person and like to think outside the box and use fun ways to engage people as well as welcome them and encourage them to get involved in the many areas at Our Saviour's. My job title when I started was First Impressions Coordinator but has morphed into so much more; however, I still feel it's important for the church to make a good first impression so I truly enjoy working and connecting with new members. Between communications, hospitality, event planning, and new members, I'm pretty busy...but never to busy to say hello.

I'm an English major graduate from Northern Illinois University. I loved reading and writing so I thought that would be great career path to author a book. It hasn't happened yet, but I have been published in newspapers and magazines.

Peace, Purple, and Go Cubs!
