You can help make the holidays brighter for children served by the Aurora foster care program!

The winter months bring many additional challenges to the families we serve. Lutheran Social Service's Childrens Community Services staff are working to support families who are providing children a safe home. Your gift will help provide a Christmas gift to each child served by our programs, as well as ensure that they have essential items such as coats and boots during the winter. We rely on your support to meet some of the most critical needs that arise for children and families during the holiday season.

Our goal is to raise $4,050 to purchase Christmas presents, boots, hats, and gift cards to meet urgent needs of the 162 children served by the Aurora foster care program.

Staff at Aurora will use funds raised to purchase gifts cards, Christmas presents, and essential items based on the needs of the individual child or family. To keep everyone as safe as possible this holiday season, we are accepting donations toward our total fundraising goal instead of collecting physical items.

$20 provides a pair of warm winter boots for a child.

$25 provides a Christmas present for a child in foster care.

$50 provides a meal for a family during the holidays.
