Season of Sharing, Our Saviour's annual holiday effort supporting our local and global mission partners, is happening now! From Oct. 26 through Dec. 1, several of our mission partners will be collecting goods and gift cards to help neighbors in need. Find the schedule below; purchase and bring in requested items on the dates listed; and be part of a beautiful holiday tradition at Our Saviour's.
Oct. 26 - Nov. 3: Coat drive for Refugee Ministry
Nov. 9-10: Toilet-paper drive for Loaves & Fishes
Nov. 16 - Dec. 1: Giving Tree gift-card drive for Bridge Communities
Nov. 16 - Dec. 1: Giving Tree gift-card drive for Holy Family Ministries
Nov. 16 - Dec. 1: Giving Tree children's-book drive for Holy Family Ministries (see wish list here)
Nov. 16 - Dec. 1: Giving Tree gift-card drive for Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI)
Nov. 16 - Dec. 1: Giving Tree gift-card drive for Refugee Ministry
Nov. 23-24: $10 donation drive for Haiti Scholars ($10 = breakfast for one child for one week)
Through Nov. 25: Thanksgiving pie orders for Mozambique Ministry
Prayers and Stories this Season:
Join us in prayer for our Season of Sharing mission partners! Each weekend during the season, a mission partner will be highlighted in worship in prayer, and you are invited to write or draw a prayer ornament to hang on each giving tree as you take off a gift ornament.
Our 2024 Giving Trees:
Take an ornament from a Giving Tree at either campus starting in November! Ornaments will come in two shapes: one for collecting books for Holy Family Little Learners in Chicago and one for collecting $25 gift cards to Target or Walmart. Our goal as a congregation is to collect 100 gift cards for the following ministries based on their needs:
- 24 for Refugee Ministry
- 12 for Bridge Communities
- 40 for Holy Family Ministries
- 24 for LSSI
