At Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, our mission is to Know Jesus and Make Jesus Known. We are glad to be able to offer a wide variety of volunteer opportunities in service of this mission, whether inside our buildings or out in God's great community.

Whether for one day or once a week, here are current/upcoming opportunities to serve!


One-time:

  • Our Saviour's will prepare and serve dinner for participants in Loaves & Fishes' Moving Up program on two additional dates this fall: Monday, Oct. 28, and Monday, Nov. 18. Can you be part of this ministry to our neighbors? Sign up to bring food and serve HERE.
  • Season of Sharing 2024 kicks off with our annual winter coat drive for Refugee Ministry. Bring in new or like-new coats from Oct. 26 through Nov. 3 to be donated through Refugee Ministry to World Relief Chicagoland. Coat racks for donations will be available at each campus.
  • Our next Church Work Day will be Saturday, Nov. 23! To ensure that our buildings are as neat and welcoming as possible for all visitors and members throughout the holidays, we'll gather from 10 a.m. to noon on Nov. 23 to clean and organize public areas on both campuses. Then, we'll enjoy a pizza lunch and fellowship. All ages welcome! If you can make it, please sign up HERE to help us plan. Walk-ins also welcome. Thank you for your willingness to help out!
Ongoing:
  • OSLC Setup/Teardown Team: Can you help set up and take down tables and chairs for large church events? Email gregnasman@oursaviours.com.
  • Our Saviour's Radiant Ministry team is dedicated to maintaining OSLC outdoor spaces and parking lots on a consistent basis. Join us weekly, monthly or as able; all supplies provided! Email Lin Schollmeyer at lschollm@att.net to sign up.
